“Torito” Hernandez, which was televised on Telefutura’s “Solo Boxeo” series, Escobedo will apply his craft in front of many of his hometown fans, as Team Escobedo has organized a minibus tour leaving from his home base of Woodland, California to the Arco Arena in Sacramento to support their pugilistic warrior. Woodland, a suburb of Sacramento with approximately fifty thousand residents, must take great pride in knowing that one of their own not only represented the Stars and Stripes in the Olympic Games, but has also shown the type of promise that is sure to bring fame and notoriety. This will be “Chente’s” first appearance before his hometown fans, never having fought in the area even as an amateur. Stay tuned as SaddoBoxing.com will bring you an exclusive interview with the young prospect himself, Vicente “Chente” Escobedo.
