In that case you have should voted to stay. The remain group were the only ones who suggested they would try to lower migration. Leave made it clear free removement would remain and also they would look to bring in an 'Australian style' points system for those not in the EU.

At least you are getting a taste of what we Americans deal with. It seems the world is an expert on America despite never setting foot here.

Do you need to live in Greece to see that the people are suffering and that the country has no control over its borders or currency? I don't really buy into that point of view. An informed outsider can know a lot more about a country than an uninformed local. I pay attention to countries like America because I understand the impact on the world. Same with China. I pay attention to the UK because I know people living there and I haven't quite closed the door. It's my duty to be informed.

Loads of City people are ecstatic. Loads of them aren't. The EU is falling apart anyway, we could have just sat there and somebody else would have done this eventually or a big eurozone economy would have blown up. Now the City could be locked out of European financial services. That brings in billions a year in taxes so it'll cost everybody if we lose it. We also had a Brit EU commissioner in charge of EU financial services legislation. Now the Frogs and the Germans will be writing it.

On the plus side it might have brought the day that we may get the opportunity to fuck the Germans a lot closer. That's the last big aim I've got. I want to invade Frankfurt, storm the ramparts of the Bundesbank and feast on the blood of my enemies. But for that to happen the euro currency has to fall apart. This may speed that process up but it would have happened anyway.
