agree with killersheep, 1st looked accidental and the 2nd looked pretty intentional, but seriously don't see what the uproar is all about, when Froch hit Dirrell in the back of the head for 12 rounds and did 2 intentional cheap shots at the break without even getting a warning, yet some of the guys who had him "doing more" to get the win are here bitching about the Ward/Kessler fight, seems some Brits are just upset that although the other two US fighters lost, the last American left picked up the biggest win in the tourney

I think this is silly. Britain and Denmark are two completely different countrys with no ties to one another whatsoever. It's like some one from Britain saying your upset because a fighter from Brazil was Robbed.

It amazing how small the knowledge of the continent Europe is.

OK, I watched it on YouTube, and I don't think the reffing was so biased or that Ward fought all that dirty. The ref didn't warn Ward for holding, because Kessler was holding just as much, and Ward was the only one doing any work on the inside. It would have been a lot different if Kessler was trying to get in to throw punches, and Ward was tying him up to stop him and get back out, but Kessler barely threw any at all on the inside.

The last headbutt was the only on that looked like it was intentional, but even that one could have been some awkward follow through after missing a punch.

I really don't see how you can say Ward fought a negative style, either. He was moving back for much of the fight, but threw and landed a lot of punches. He often pressed the action, even sometimes with an abandon that Kessler wasn't able to take advantage of.

The thing that bothers me about Ward is the whole fighting for the Lord BS. I guess Jesus just loves him more?

If Jesus had won by UD instead of TD, I still would have been less impressed with Jesus than Abraham.

However.. if Jesus had won by UD instead of TD, I would have ranked him 2nd ahead of Frochy. But the fact is the fight never went 12 completed rounds, so we will never be entirely sure that Kessler would'nt have won by late KO.

Jesus loses a few marks for that, but i'm sure he'll rise again.
