Andre Ward was awesome
Sure he got away with some holding & hitting
But nothing was stopping Kessler from trying the same
Mikkel just couldn't fight on the inside
& was getting an ass whuppin on the outside![]()
Abraham is from Germany. His spectacular, possible career ending, KO of Taylor was the most impressive showing of the first round.
Jesus was very good but unfortunately won because of headbutts. How can we say for sure Kessler wouldn't have found a dynamite blow in the final round - like Froch did to Taylor?
So the impressive factor for round 1 goes like this..
1. Abraham
2. Frochy
3. Jesus
4. Dirrell
5. Kessler
6. Taylor
The Euro's are still dominating this thing. Fact.

If a dog lives in a stable it doesnt make him a horse!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
yea cause knocking out a guy who was the weakest fighter in the tourney and who had been KO'd in the last fight before the tourney is more impressive than dominating the guy who many picked to win the whole thing
difference between Froch/Taylor and Kessler/Ward is that Froch started coming on from the 8th or 9th round on, and Taylor looked obviously gassed, Ward won every round on my card but one, and he was giving no signs of slowing down, again how the hell can you complain about fouling when Froch is the undisputed champ of fighting dirty, yet when he did it your reasoning was "he was making it a fight"
and like i've said time and time again, the crack you smoke must be strong as hell to think that a KO over a shot fighter and a gift split decision are more impressive than COMPLETELY DOMINATING the guy that nearly everyone had picked to win the whole damn thing, get off your high horse bud![]()
Where have I complained about fouls? When have I ever said it was OK for Froch to foul because "he was making it a fight"
You've just made that up old son. Or maybe you've confused me with someone else.
I believe Abraham's spectacular KO was a more impressive viewing spectacle than Jesus winning a TD because of headbutts. Frankly I fail to see how anyone could differ. Fact.

how is it more impressive to brutally knock out a guy who is clearly past it (and was still giving Abraham trouble early on) than to clearly dominate the guy who was considered by many to be the best competitor in the tourney?
if the headbutts wouldn't of happened Ward would have gone on to win a 12 round UD by probably 119-109, it's not like the Froch/Dirrell fight in where it was clearly a hometown decision and where a bullshit point deduction would have made the difference on bullshit cards
More impressive spectacle old son.
If Jesus had won by UD instead of TD, I still would have been less impressed with Jesus than Abraham.
However.. if Jesus had won by UD instead of TD, I would have ranked him 2nd ahead of Frochy. But the fact is the fight never went 12 completed rounds, so we will never be entirely sure that Kessler would'nt have won by late KO.
Jesus loses a few marks for that, but i'm sure he'll rise again.

I've now got them like this, but after saturday night, anything is now possible. Personally, although i was initialll really dissapointed with Dirrell, i'm hoping that he learnt alot from the Froch fight in terms of applying more aggression with his ability and movement, and pushing it a little bit more. If he mixes it more, i think he can win for sure.... I can see Dirrell having the ability to box Abrahams ears off... If Taylor can stay out of the way of AA's bombs for almost the entire fight, he won't get anywhere near Dirrell. Its all down to whether Dirrell will throw enough.....
1. Abraham
2. Ward
3. Dirrell
4. Kessler
5. Froch
6. Taylor
