Actually in boxing there are several historical examples. Jimmy McLarnin started at 112 and won the 147 crown with a KO1. Sam Langfrod began at 135 and KO'd HOF heavyweights. Mickey Walker began at lightweight and KO'd ranked heavies. George Carpentier fought in every division that existed.

It is rare, not unprecedented.
who?
LOL, damn younguns don't know their history

McLarnin is a HOFer originally from Belfast. A legendary puncher from the 1930's. Langford is one of the greatest fighters of all time. A top ten guy. Over 200 wins including a dozen over HOFers. Fought from 1900-1920 or so. Best fighter never to get a title crack. Mickey Walker was the undisputed 147 and 160 king of the 1920's and 1930's. A top 20 guy all time. Carpentier is a Frenchman who once challenged Demspey for the heavyweight crown after WWI. The Message our navy sent to French ships at sea? "Your Frog flattened in fourth." Undisputed 175 king and HOFer.

What is important about these guys and this issue is steroids weren't even invented until the mid-late 1930's so this isn't evidence, it is proof what Manny has done is possible clean.
