Default Getting in shape after shin injury

Hey all, I injured my leg around 10 months ago whilst training Muay Thai. It started of as a minor injury but developed into something nasty, 10 months on and it's still bugging me. I want to pick up training again but my true passion is in boxing not Muay Thai. I think my leg will need another 6 months to fully heal so I'm wondering what I can do to get back into shape without any impact exercises? And it's just hit winter here so swimmings out of the question! I heard sprints aren't actually to high of a impact on the shins which is where my injury is. Most important to me right now is getting my lung capacity back up where I'm not fatiguing after half a round, thanks.

Hey mate to be honest I'm not sure what's entirely wrong. I started of with shin splints which is no biggie, than after my trainer told me to push through the pain it developed into something allot worse, I suspect some sort of fracture or minor break in my tibia. Its defiantly bone not muscle as I've had plenty of bone and muscle injuries before and can feel the difference

A little to begin with but that was on the skin on the inside of my shin where there's no muscle, after a few months the bruising went away and hasnt come back, the worst part is that every time I think it's all healed I go back to skipping or sprints and bam it's back again... Very frustrating
