Hennessy Boxing Signs Canadian Amateur Tyler Asseltine

Hennessy Sports Canada is proud to announce the signing of amateur sensation Tyler Asselstine to a long term exclusive promotional agreement.

With just three years of experience, the 23 year old Kingston, Ontario native overcame a late start in boxing, quickly excelling into a world class amateur.

Asselstine was a member of Canadian National Team in 2009, competing against Poland, Ireland, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. This month he won the 2010 Ringside World Championships in Kansas City, Missouri.

Adam Harris of Hennessy Sports Canada is thrilled to have Asselstine join his team, “We’re very proud to welcome Tyler to the Hennessy Sports Canada team. I’ve been following him closely over the course of the last couple of years and consider him to be a future world champion. We look forward to working closely with him as he progresses towards that goal.”

Along with being promoted by Hennessy Sports Canada, Asselstine is trained and managed by Eric Belanger in Ottawa, Ontario.

Campaigning in the featherweight division, Asselstine will have his professional debut announced shortly.
