Ricky Hatton believes Hatton Promotions will show it means business with a knockout card to start 2011.
British boxing’s most ambitious promotional outfit return to a venue fast becoming their adopted home The Premier Suite at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium on Saturday February 26 with another night of world class boxing.
The show which is being televised live by Sky Sports is headed by Stephen Foster Jr who makes the first defence of his European super-featherweight title against Ermano Fegatilli.
Salford’s Foster Jr won the crown at the same venue in October with a stunning KO of Levan Kirakosyan, but faces a tough night against his Belgian mandatory contender.
The chief supporting bout sees Manchester’s Anthony Crolla risk his English super-featherweight title against Leeds puncher Carl Johanneson – in a bout where the winner is guaranteed a crack at British champion Gary Sykes.
It is also hoped that English super-bantamweight champion Craig Lyon will defend his title subject to a suitable opponent.
Ricky said: “Bolton is becoming a town where Hatton Promotions are staging more and more shows and that will continue. The support we have had from the local community, the staff at De Veres and Bolton Wanderers FC has been superb.
“They see that we are doing our best to bring top class boxing to the town and hopefully we will have a major world title fight there soon.”
Also fighting on the bill is Mancunian Olympic star Joe Murray Who faces tough Frenchman Daniel Kodjo Sassou who recently took Scott Quigg 12 rounds.
Others hopefuls on the undercard include Belarusian star Sergey Rabchenko,, John Fewkes, Keiron Maher, Richard Towers and Sheffield’s big ticket seller Adam Etches.
