Vitali Klitschko is still the WBC heavyweight champion after beating challenger Danny Williams to the canvas four times en route to an eighth round knockout victory. Williams was game and caught the champion with some good shots but Klitschko was able to absorb the punches a lot easier than Williams managed to take his shots. Williams was knocked down in the first and third rounds but managed to come back well before being rocked several times more and finally being sent to his fourth defeat via an impressive performance from the champion.
WBO light welterweight champion of the world Miguel Cotto sent former champion Randall Bailey to the canvas twice before the sixth round when Bailey was unable to see and therefore unable to continue to fight. With the stoppage, Cotto successfully defended his title for the first time.
Carlos Ramirez rebounded from losing his IBF super featherweight title to Erik Morales by defeating Juan Carlos Ramirez by a ten-round split decision.
Carlos Navarro stopped Agapito Sanchez in the eleventh round.
