Irish Crestfallen As Visa Issues KO Team Kazakh

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Irish Amateur Boxing Association, Friday’s Elite international with Kazakhstan has been cancelled.

Both nations were due to meet at Dublin’s National Stadium, but the Kazakhstan team are unable to travel because of visa issues.

The Irish squad are disappointed that the March 14th meeting has been cancelled. It is hoped that the international can be rescheduled for the coming weeks.

Sunday’s meeting between an Irish selection and Kazakhstan in New Ross, Wexford has also been cancelled.
