Cerveza Tecate presents an amazing Friday fight night from Las Vegas, NV as part of its continued efforts to bring the power of boxing to fans across the nation. This week’s edition of “Solo Boxeo Tecate” will be broadcasted as part of Telefutura’s programming.
“Solo Boxeo Tecate” warms-up Las Vegas on the evening before the eagerly awaited Margarito vs. Cotto encounter. The thrilling night will showcase Mexican boxer Jesus Soto-Karass, 20-3-3 (14) and David Estrada, 22-4 (13), in a 12 round bout for the NABF Welterweight title at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel.
Currently ranked #7 WBC and #8 WBO, Soto-Karass arrives to his third fight of 2008 supported by his trainer Javier Castillo. Born in Illinois, Estrada is ranked #9 WBC and has been fiercely prepared for the bout by Evangelista Cotto (uncle of Miguel Coto) in Puerto Rico.
Additionally, Brandon “Ban Ban” Rios, 17-0 (10), from Oxnard, CA will face Mexico's Angel Recio, 10-2 (2), in eight rounds of featherweight action.
The live Telefutura broadcast begins at 8:00 p.m. EST/PT and 7:00 p.m. CT
