WBA/WBC super flyweight champion Cristian Mijares and IBF champion Vic Darchinyan both were recorded at the 115 pound limit during Friday’s weigh in at the Double Tree Hotel in Carson, California.
Mijares, 35-3-2 (13), will face Darchinyan, 30-1-1 (24), in an eagerly awaited 115-pound world title unification showdown this Saturday, November 1, at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, on Showtime Championship Boxing at 9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast.
No. 7 ranked WBO super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell, 16-0 (11), and No. 6 WBO contender Victor Oganov, 28-1 (28) both weighed in at 167.5 pounds. The two world-ranked 168-pound contenders will battle in an exciting 12-round co-feature.
Tickets, priced at $25 to $250, are on sale at The Home Depot Center Box Office, open 10 a.m-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, all Ticketmaster retail ticket locations, online at www.Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster-Charge-by-Phone (213-480-3232). The Home Depot Box Office will open at 10 a.m. the day of the event.
