Ricky Hatton is leaving no stone unturned while in preparations for his up coming super fight with pound for pound champion, Manny Pacquaio.
Today, "The Hitman" went at it with former amateur welterweight world champion, Erislandy Lara, who is 4-0 (3) as a pro at light middleweight.
Lara defected from his home country of Cuba and now lives and fights out of Hamburg, Germany, under Arena Box promotions, and is scheduled to be fighting on the undercard of Hatton vs. Pacquaio, against an opponent to be announced.
Hatton's people have done well securing Lara's services, as he is a tremendously fast and skilled southpaw boxer/puncher, with a wealth of experience, albeit amateur, and from what we have seen of him, he should be a major force at junior middleweight.
He was also the team captain in the Olympics, and in 2007, he defeated American boxer Demetrius Andrade.
