Taking a night out of his upcoming title-fight preparations, Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib welcomed Saudi royalty last night in Sydney at a special dinner organised to honour the presence of the Prince of Saudi Arabia – His Royal Highness Turki bin Faisal Al Saud.
Dib, the proud young Australian who only last December undertook the holy trip to ‘Mecca’ as an invited guest of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, was very proud to have now met the Prince, and who also commented how proud he is of Billy’s achievements in boxing.
“This is a proud moment for myself and my family," said Dib. "It was an absolute honour to travel to Mecca last here as part of my faith and on behalf of the King and I am equally proud tonight to have met the Prince personally tonight also.
“To have the support of the Prince and also King of Saudi Arabia is a big boost to my career, it’s fair to say I have royalty in my corner!"
Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib – A fantastic young Australian doing big things in the world of boxing and who embodies the wonderful multi-cultural society that Australia is.
A full press conference is scheduled for next Thursday 11th June for Billy’s upcoming international title bout, scheduled for July 9th here in Sydney.
