When he tried to take him down the man vehemently resisted and put up a fight and started flailing his arms back at the officers face. In that case if you get punched in the face a couple of times by someone who you are trying to subdue then I believe you can Strike Back.

I watched the video again. When he went to take him down, the man resisted, but the takedown took a split second. Once the guy was on the ground, the cop proceeded to pummel him. There's no way in that video you saw the guy punching the cop in the face. He had barely been slammed to the ground when the cop started to pummel him.

I get it that you don't like the prototypical hoodlum talking back at cops... I get it. It's a stupid move. But it doesn't excuse a cop, who's supposedly highly trained, to assault a human being in that fashion. Again, even after apprehending a murder suspect after a shootout and a high speed chase, there's no excuse for that kind of pummeling.

You're wrong, and you know it. Of course you won't back down, but it makes no difference.

I hope the cop gets charged, convicted, and jailed for assault and battery. There's gotta be some way to get it through the thick skull of these 'roided assholes that their badge and uniform isn't a licence to abuse citizens. And if he gets made someone's bitch while in prison..... well I guess that's just too bad.

as he took him down, the suspect turned and threw a punch/flailed an arm at the cop's face, or at least he would not be subdued and in wriggling and twisting could have injured the cop. Up til that point you cant say the suspect had cooperated AT ALL and you know it, SO WHAT MAKES YOU THINK AS HE WAS BEING TAKEN DOWN HE WOULD SUDDENLY, MAGICALLY MAKE IT EASY FOR THE COP?

Brock, you've lost your mind, mate. The poor bloke did nothing wrong and was being harrassed by a man in a uniform. If you were to ask me who the criminal was I would have to say the one who was stalking a member of the public and then proceeded to beat him up. There is no public duty in behaving like that, you are basically at the same level of a street thug yourself. To then waste how much tax payer money in getting a fleet of cars involved and how many officers? My goodness, it's a joke, but not a funny one for the poor chap beaten up like that. To even defend it is lame Brock.

Brock lost his mind years ago.

As he was being body-slammed into the concrete street, he instinctively did what any self-preserving human being would do. He put out his arms to break his fall in the split second he was being taken down. If you want to pass this off as the guy punching the cop, go right ahead. Only the cop and his mother would back you up on that one. It's ridiculous, Brock. You're defending the indefensible.

Nothing but a stiff prison sentence and a million dollar lawsuit will teach these brain-dead, uniformed assholes to keep their 'roid rage binges to themselves.

Actually... he's lucky that as he was pummeling the guy 20 times in the face, a friend or family member didn't walk up behind him and put one in the back of his head.
