Froch COULD HAVE MADE TAYLOR FIGHT HIM IN THE UK.....THEY DID NOT LOOK AT TAYLOR AS A BIG RISK SO THEY DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GREAT FIGHT TO MAKE HIS USA DEBUT WITH!!!!..

AGAIN THEY WERE USING THE FIGHT AS THE PERFECT TIME TO GET A BIGGER BROADCASTING AUDIENCE FOR FROCH.....

I PROMISE YOU THAT IF THE FIGHT WAS AGAINST A GUY THEY WERE NOT SURE ABOUT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE CAME HERE FOR THE FIGHT......

FROCH AND HIS PEOPLE WERE EMBARRASSED BECAUSE OF THE KNOCKDOWN....

IF YOU KNEW HALF AS MUCH ABOUT THE PROMOTERS THEMSELVES AND HALF AS MUCH ABOUT THE GOINGS ON BEHIND THE SCENES AS U THINK U DO BECAUSE OF WHAT U READ IN THE MEDIA U MIGHT NOT MAKE STUPID POST LIKE...

At no time did they think Froch was not going to beat Taylor....They counted on Taylor gassing, they counted on Taylor crumbling like he did in the Pavlik fight...They counted on the fact Taylor was abused in the 2 Pavlik fights, they counted on the fact before Pavlik he struggkled with 2 small LMW fighters and the fact he looked horrible against Lacy....They never expected Taylor to carry enough power to even knockdown Froch...Things did not go their way that is why they tried to pass off the whole...

"If you look at Carl Froch you know he is a 12 rd fighter who does his best work after the 9th".....Yet had only gone the distance 2 times prior....and has a KO% of over 75 at nthe time of the fight....They were trying to convince themselves more then anyone.....

That came from Mick Hennessy himself...But YOU would know that because you were at the press conference when me and 6 other writers 2 from the UK walked out...That was you somewhere in there no?....Were you the fat ass falling asleep in his coffee? OR were you the guy who could not get his camera to work?.....Because Mick came in first after Taylor and his people walked out started to speak then almost the whole room left but 7 writers some fat guy and a guy who could not get his camera to work....Y because of the SHIT Mick was trying to spout about Froch and his win over Taylor showing he is the best fighters from MW to CW and should be ranked #1 SMW and on the P4P list........Along with his future great bullshit.....BUT u knew all this yes?.......

You know the embarrassment they suffered by standing there with only his promoter trainer and family members he came to the US with long before the presser was done?....

Mainly because of the SHIT the high quality always honest Mick Hennessy was spouting....Making Don King and Frank Warren look like poster boys for truth and honesty.....

But please tell me more about Mick telling it how it is and more of Froch being the standout I will travel with my title because I am a CHAMPION stories of yours.....
Not that im defending Carl Froch because i hate his style, but plenty of people picked Jermain Taylor to beat Carl Froch including me. I think he looked fine vs Jeff Lacy, he won every round and dominated Jeff Lacy.

As for being abused by Kelly Pavlik in 2 fights, well the 1st fight was a war. With both men hurt and the fight was dead even until Kelly Pavlik caught up to him in the 7th round.

As for the rematch quite alot of people thought Jermain Taylor won the rematch. Not me personally but it was very close, i would hardly called that being abused.

Yes they were tough fights and they did take something out of Jermain Taylor, but that still didn't lead anyone to believe, Carl Froch would beat Jermain Taylor. Who was largely unproven other than a tough win in a war against Jean Pascal, who wasn't highly regarded at that time.

I personally don't think Carl Froch, would avoid any fighter. I agree his style sucks and his attitude stinks. But he gets the job done and his opposition in his last few fights Dirrell, Taylor, Pascal. Has been pretty solid IMO.

I also don't think Lucian Bute would avoid anyone either, he took the Librado Andrade rematch and manned up and won without any question marks, he also has some good underrated wins if you dig deeper into his record.

I just think it was bad timing for both fighters, but i have no doubt they will meet in the future. And no doubt my money will be on my boy Lucian Bute.
I think when you get right down to it that is correct. Both guys seemed willing to step in the ring with the other and I doubt either one had any intention of ducking the fight. The timing was simply wrong. If Froch wins the Super 6, which actually seems like it might be a distinct possibility depending upon how much Kessler has left, I'm sure they'll fight.
I'm rather shocked with the amount of people that think this is a distinct possibility. Kessler was simply confused at how to fight ward. Ward would smother him on the inside coupled with a bad case of Holyfield head, and owned the outside with superior movement... Kessler did not make valid adjustments which lost him the fight but Froch has none of the Atributes Ward has as far as athletisism and technique...Nor does he throw with the regularity or have the hand speed that Calzaghe had. Kessler, stylistically, should outbox Froch fairly handily using superior technique and defense. Hell, Taylor(who's a good fighter in his own right barring the stamina issues) was beating Froch until he ran out of gas. Kessler is a better fighter than Taylor. We'll see, though. I just don't see Froch beating Ward. Froch can beat Green and Abraham... and he's already "beaten" Dirrell. I think Kessler beats him in this stage of the Super6.

I'm by no means a Froch fan. He has glaring weakeness throughout his game and his arrogance is annoying at best. However, he always seems to find a way to win. I picked Taylor to outbox him and regardless of the reasons, Froch wins. He beat Dirrell when I thought he had very little chance. He almost reminds me of Cotto in the way that he always seems to win when I expect him to lose (I picked Judah and Mosley to both beat him). BTW Cotto fans, that is the only way he reminds me of Cotto, so don't jump up my ass here.

If the same Kessler that fought Joe Calzaghe fights Froch, he doesn't stand a chance. Truthfully, I think even a 60-70% Kessler can beat him comfortably by outboxing him from the outside and I think he will, but Froch has surprised me in the past and if he can get inside on a faded Kessler he can win.

Against Abraham, who I believe Froch fights last, I honestly have it a 50/50 fight. If Abraham spends the first half of the fight wearing his earmuffs, he might be fucked because, if nothing else, Froch can bang. At the same time, Froch is wide open for well-placed counter-punches and Abraham's power is no joke either. That's a very interesting fight for me.

Anyways, the point of this long-assed rambling post is that while I doubt Froch will win the SUper 6, I feel he has an outside chance. If he gets into the playoffs (or whatever they're calling them), anything can happen depending on who he is lined up against.

Gotcha. Agreed. He does find a way to win... I also take nothing away from him. I actually quite like watching Froch fight because of those weaknesses. It makes the fight more exciting. I get your post now. I somewhat misinterpreted it. I like the Cotto reference. It's so true. I did the same thing. Cotto's jab surprised me against Mosley.
