TNT Boxing: Tickets Going Fast For Sept 25 Show

While Mark “TNT” Tucker remains calm and focused during preparation for his September 25 showdown with Jim Strohl, local fans are already in fight mode.

While most non pay per view fights do the majority of their ticket sales the week of the fight, followers of the wildly popular Tucker have already bought tickets at a record rate to see their hometown hero chase his first title.

Much to their surprise, TNT Promotions 21 has matched their fight week ticket sales 22 days before the opening bell.

Even though the attendance increased during each of the four shows at the Shipley Arena, promoter Mark Tucker Sr. is astonished at the current rate of the ticket sales.

“The way the tickets have been moving is truly unbelievable”, said Tucker Sr., the CEO of TNT Promotions 21. “The VIP tickets are almost gone and I expect our biggest crowd to date on September 25.”

Tucker, 11-0 (7 KO’s), will battle Las Vegas’ Strohl 27-7 (20 KO’s), over ten rounds for the vacant USBO Light Heavyweight title.

TNT Promotions 21’s “Showdown at the Shipley Arena” will feature four more fights on an action packed undercard, topped by an eight round rematch between Super Featherweights Tyrell “Da Show Shocka” Samuel 12-3 (6 KO’s) of Baltimore, MD and Gustavo Dailey 4-5 (1 KO) of Philadelphia, PA. Dailey upset Samuel in an all out war on July 17.

Highly touted Welterweight prospect James “Keep em Sleepin” Stevenson 11-0 (10 KO’s) of Baltimore is slated to face an opponent to be named over six rounds. Stevenson is fresh off an August 27 third round TKO over experienced veteran Sebastien Hamel.

Decorated amateur Emmanuel “The Transformer” Taylor 2-0 (2 KO’s), fighting out of Edgewood Arsenal, MD is set to face Washington Heights, NY’s Amaury Torres 4-9-2 (1 KO) in a four round Junior Welterweight contest.

Rounding off the card is a Middleweight bout between Allen Perkins 1-0 and Omar Sims 2-1-2 (1 KO). Perkins, of Fredrick, MD and Baltimore’s Sims will duke it out over four rounds for local bragging rights.

Individual ticket prices range from $15- $125. VIP mini tables of four are going for $300 and VIP seating for ten ranges from $750- $1250. All VIP ticket holders will get free Hor’dourves from 7-8 PM.

Tickets can be ordered by calling 443-277-2556 or 240-401-5885. Tickets are also available on location at No Anchovies Pizza in Taneytown, MD, All Landscape Supply in Westminster, MD and Athens Health Club in Eldersburg, MD.

The Shipley Arena is located at 706 Agriculture Dr in Westminster, MD. Doors open at 6:30 and the first bout is scheduled for 8 pm.

During the last two years, TNT Promotions 21 has brought boxing to life in Northern Maryland. They have hosted four shows at the Shipley Arena, bringing in a larger crowd each time they returned. TNT 21 also has the exclusive promotional rights to Mark Tucker.
