Golden Boys Win Again.

On the under-card of the undisputed middleweight championship fight between Bernard Hopkins and Jermain Taylor on Saturday night, two of Golden Boy Promotion’s star prospects kept their early careers intact with wins. Vicente Escobedo improved his professional record to five wins, all by way of knockout when he dismantled Edgar Vargas before the end of the first round.

In other action, Abder Mares also won and remained undefeated at five wins with four stoppages when he knocked out Elvis Martinez in the third round.
