Frankie Figueroa Added To Next DiBella Broadway Boxing Card

Flashy Frankie Figueroa, the New York State Junior Welterweight champion, will add some hard-punching Latin flavor to DiBella Entertainment’s March 22 Broadway Boxing Presented by StubHub card at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City when he steps into the ring against the veteran Antonio Ramirez.

Figueroa, fighting out the Bronx, New York, is a Puerto Rican upstart with a 14-2 ring record, including 10 knockout victories. Ramirez, the diminutive Dominican veteran, has recorded 24 career victories, with 14 KO scores.

The Figueroa-Ramirez clash combines with Brooklyn’s undefeated Dmitriy “Star of David” Salita (26-0-1, 15 KO’s) in the main event vs. Grover Wiley (30-8-1, 14 KO’s) for an action packed card packed with local products.

Salita has a stellar ring record of 26-0-1, including 15 wins by way of knockout. “Star of David” returned to the Broadway Boxing scene on September 20 to score a unanimous decision over the tough-minded veteran Francisco Campos.

Salita will square off against Wiley, the veteran from Omaha, Nebraska, in the featured attraction, a 10-round junior welterweight affair. Salita has reeled off seven straight Broadway Boxing victories, with the lone blemish on his slate being a draw in Atlantic City.

The Double Show highlighted by the New York super middleweight knockout artists known as the “Chin Checkers” will accompany the Salita main event. Jaidon “The Don” Codrington (14-1, 11 KO’s) returns to Broadway Boxing to square off against Marlon Hayes (23-5, 11 KO’s), and Curtis “Showtime” Stevens (16-1, 12 KO’s) takes on Darnell Boone (14-8-2, 5 KO’s) of Atlanta.

The Chin Checkers, hailing from Queens, New York, and Brownsville, Brooklyn, respectively, are sure to give Broadway Boxing fans plenty to cheer about with their KO artistry.

Broadway Boxing Presented by StubHub will air on a later date in high definition exclusively on HDNet and in over 30 million homes on SportsNet New York in the New York Metropolitan Area, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Comcast SportsNet Southeast, Comcast SportsNet West and Comcast Local – Detroit. Broadway Boxing is sponsored by StubHub, HBO Sports, and Gallagher’s Steak House.

The excitement of Broadway Boxing’s fights and the electricity of the crowds at the Manhattan Center have drawn the likes of celebrities and athletes such as Jay Z, Hilary Swank, Rosario Dawson, Fat Joe, Camron, Lennox Lewis, Jermain Taylor, Ricky Hatton, Tiki Barber and Tracy McGrady to name a few.
