Daryl Sharp Vs Matthew Ryan Ringside Report

At the BEC Arena (Bowlers) Manchester, Saturday night, a battle between two Middleton boxers saw Matthew Ryan win the BBBofC Central Area Middleweight Title by outpointing Darryl Sharp (98-93) in an all action contest over ten rounds. Using the left jab and surviving a cut right brow against a fearless opponent – resulted in victory number 15 (of 17 contests) for Ryan.

The Bonfire Night weekend event promoted by Black Flash Promotions in association with British Boxers and the Collyhurst and Moston Gym featured thirteen contests in all.

Copeland was vicious with the body shots as the two women worked up close and Vigh was on the canvas in round one from a shot to the body. Under too much pressure from Copeland – Vigh was stopped midway through the second round by Referee Jamie Kirkpatrick.

Having being warned a couple of times in the fight for spitting out the gumshield – Mehmed was disqualified in the fifth round by Referee Darren Sarginson for the same reason. Arthur gets the win on a disqualification.
