Super featherweight standout Alex Arthur will fight once again this year in his native Scotland on the third of December at the Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh. Arthur, known to boxing fans as 'Amazing,' will make his third return bout since losing a titanic tussle with Manchester's Michael Gomez last year against Argentinian Nazareno Ruiz. Everything appeared to be going Arthur's way until the Gomez fight, he was the British super featherweight champion with an entertaining style that wowed fans and stopped all but two of his opponents until that point. However, Arthur's recent performances indicate a maturity gained from his losing experience and he will look to make 2005 a big year in his career domestically before looking further afield to bigger names and the titles they own.
