NABF Boxing Champ Travis Walker To Jason Estrada: “Stop Whining Or I’ll Spank You Again”

NABF Heavyweight Champion Travis Walker, ranked WBO #6, WBC #12, set the record straight today regarding his decisive win over Jason Estrada in response to Estrada’s comments last week that Walker won the fight because of a “hometown” decision.

In response, Walker stated, “Jason ‘Little 6’ Estrada? I am calling him ‘Little 6’ because big men don’t cry and he whined last week that he lost to me because of a ‘hometown decision’ and because he had a hurt shoulder.

“Little 6 wasn’t crying before the fight about not being physically able to perform. In fact, he boasted prior to our fight that he was in great shape and that it would be ‘an easy’ fight with me. He didn’t display any problems with throwing punches during the fight and if he hurt the shoulder, it was because he got hit repeatedly by me in the shoulder and other areas of his body.

“Right after the fight, he certainly didn’t complain that he thought he was ripped off or that he couldn’t perform and for him to do so now, almost two years after the fight, I take as disrespectful. he truth of the matter is, I easily beat the crap out of him and I could have knocked him out if I wanted to.

“I told Showtime before the fight that because of his arrogance in the amateurs, I was purposefully not going to knock him out but that I would keep him around to punish him and punish him I did. After the fight, look at the pictures. I didn’t have a scratch on me but his face was cut and all swollen up. He looked like he had gone through a meat grinder.

“The next day I saw him and his face even looked worse. He looked as if he was hit by a Mack truck. All you have to do is look at the tape and see I clearly won the fight and hurt Estrada many times. If I wanted to, I could have followed up and knocked him out, but I didn’t want to, I wanted to punish him.

“Now that he is whining, if I ever fight him again I will make a point of it to knock him out right after I beat him up again.”

Steve Munisteri, Walker’s manager, dismissed the talk that the decision was unfair by pointing out that both Showtime commentators thought that Walker won the fight, that not one judge gave the fight to Estrada, and more importantly, that where they fought was not Walker’s hometown.

“Travis Walker is from Tallahassee, Florida; to suggest that the judges in California showed bias towards him is ridiculous,” said Munisteri. “Our promoter, Goossen Tutor, is based in Sherman Oaks, California. The fight was held just east of San Diego, many hours drive from Goossen Tutor’s home office.

“I would also point out that Goossen Tutor, even though it is based outside of Los Angeles, didn’t even get a break with LA judges when their fighter James Toney fought Samuel Peter at the Staples Center.

“I also saw Jason Estrada after the fight and he looked like he had been mugged and that is with Travis holding back on him, so he [Walker] wouldn’t knock him [Estrada] out. I actually fear for Jason’s life if they ever fight again because he has now really pissed off Travis.”

Munisteri added that Walker would be happy to give Jason Estrada a rematch so he can punish him again if Estrada’s promoter is willing to come up with $100,000.

“Chris Arreola and Chaz Witherspoon just got six figures to fight each other and Travis has been offered six figures for other fights. Thus, we believe a fair purse for the #6 rated heavyweight, Travis Walker, to give a rematch for a fight that would mean nothing to Walker, other than punishment of Estrada, is $100,000.

“The only other stipulation is the fight has to be 12 rounds for his [Walker’s] NABF title belt, the fight needs to be televised, and the fight can’t take place in Estrada’s backyard.
Walker would be happy to fight on what both parties would consider to be neutral ground.”

Travis Walker states, “My manager has put forth reasonable terms for Jason to get a rematch with me. It is now time for his promoter and him to either put up or shut up. He also needs to get behind me in line to fight Chris Arreola. He can fight Arreola after I knock Arreola out and they can have a loser’s consolation match.”
