A joint effort of the businessman Saúl Ballesteros, the promoter Alberto Agámez and a series of people who have put up this project, has allowed it to be enabled again both for high performance fighters and for the general public.

Billy Chams, the most important promoter in the history of the country,  founded the gym and with his company and one bearing the same name contributed to give great joy to Colombia in boxing.

Ballesteros highlighted the contribution of Chams and his appreciation for what he did, he assured that the main reason to put the gym back in operation is to pay tribute to the late promoter and continue to fulfill the dream of thousands of Colombian boxers throughout history.
