Polideportivo Jose Maria Vargas in La Guaira, Venezuela hosts the WBA bantamweight title clash between Anselmo Moreno and Nehomar Cermeno.
Panamanian southpaw Moreno, 28-1-1 (10), has held the crown since dethroning Wladimir Sidorenko two years ago and will be making his sixth defense but this could be his toughest test to date.
Venezuela’s Cermeno, 19-0 (11), is the interim WBA strapholder and holds two victories over former WBC/WBA super flyweight king Cristian Mijares and has never lost a pro fight.
The undercard features the return of former WBC featherweight and WBA super feather champ Jorge Linares, 27-1 (18), who faces seasoned veteran and ex-WBC super feather title challenger Francisco Lorenzo, 34-7 (15), over 11 rounds.
