David Price Vs Istvan Ruzsinszky Weights

David Price of Liverpool weighed in at 112.8 kg (248.7 lbs) yesterday afternoon, at the Maritim Hotel, Stuttgart, Germany, ahead of tonights’ Team Sauerland event which headlines the rematch between Marco Huck and Firat Arslan.

But the Former British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion – making his return to the ring under new Team, Sauerland – must be thinking he’s jinxed. ‘Pricey’ will now face Hungarian – Istvan Ruzsinszky after Konstantin Airich of Kazakhstan failed a medical yesterday. [Price was forced to pull-out of the original fight against Evgeny Orlov scheduled for December 14, when the Liverpool man caught a virus.]

After two losses to American Tony Thompson earlier last year, Price has been seemingly reinventing himself. He left long term Trainer Franny Smith in August last year and had a brief stint with Adam Booth before settling more recently with Tommy Brooks – former trainer of Mike Tyson. Price has also had coaching to regain confidence after the defeats to Thompson and, as a result, was said to be in a relaxed mood this week.

Price v Ruszinski – an 8 Round Heavyweight Contest at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Halle, Stuttgart, Germany will be broadcast Live on BoxNation in the UK, Saturday 25 January, from 6pm.

Weights:

David Price: 112.8 kg (248.7 lbs)
Istvan Ruzsinszky: 110.8 kg (244.3 lbs)
