Technical knockout and successful Fedelatin defense for Francis Frometa  – World Boxing Association

The feature figh in Montevideo, Uruguay, was well applauded by the audience. The Dominican Francis Frometa measured his talent against the Argentine Javier Herrera and got the victory by the knockout in the eighth round. Thus, he achieved a first defense of his WBA Fedelatin Lightweight belt.

In his first fight away from home, Frometa showed the boxing style that characterizes him with good arm reach and coordinated movements on the canvas. With a sustained attack in precise combinations and initiated with the speed of his jab, he managed to gradually weaken a brave Herrera who, despite having trouble applying his sporting tools in the ring, was persevering in trying to shorten the distance and bring the fight to a close.

By round eight the wear and tear had given up on the Argentine and his corner threw in the towel for the referee to stop the action. Volume of jabbing with uppercuts and up and down crosses rocked Herrera from the sixth round as the end began to be announced.

With the Fedelatin belt tightened, the representative of Santo Domingo continues to widen his achievements. Now with 17 wins, 11 of which have been by knockout, he continues on the road to the big leagues.
