Songchai Boxing: Piriyapinyo vs. Rojas For WBC Belt In Thailand

Dominican boxer Elio “Enai” Rojas, who is the WBC Featherweight champion, prepares to defend his crown against Thai Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo. The scene of the battle will be held in a coliseum of Thailand.

Antonio “Tony” Tineo informed reporters that the official date and the details of the signing contract have not been announced, but representatives of Don King Productions told him that the fight may be mounted at the end of January to mid February 2010 in Thailand.

Tineo said Rojas would begin to prepare a long-awaited fight with the Puerto Rican, Juan Manuel Lopez, who is the WBO Junior Featherweight champion. But at this time Rojas only thinks that he will fight with the Thai challenger in his home.

The Thai boxer is a tough fighter because he is undefeated in 31 professional fights with 17 wins by knockout therefore he is a dangerous rival for Rojas. Piriyapinyo is ranked number six by the WBC.
