scene could not be more open for a single fighter to take over as the new champion. A lengthy legal battle is responsible for keeping Tua out of the ring for over two years and at thirty-two years of age, he will likely want to make up for lost time very quickly. Tua's last fight came against former champion Hasim Rahman, a fight in which a rather listless Tua was controlled for much of the fight by Rahman's jab and many observers felt that Tua was fortunate to leave the fight with a draw.
