Tua Back in Business.

By Boxing Press January 13th, 2005 All Boxing News
Former world heavyweight title challenger David Tua will return to action on March 31st in his native Auckland, New Zealand against veteran campaigner Talmadge Griffis. Tua's long awaited return comes at just the right time as the heavyweight

scene could not be more open for a single fighter to take over as the new champion. A lengthy legal battle is responsible for keeping Tua out of the ring for over two years and at thirty-two years of age, he will likely want to make up for lost time very quickly. Tua's last fight came against former champion Hasim Rahman, a fight in which a rather listless Tua was controlled for much of the fight by Rahman's jab and many observers felt that Tua was fortunate to leave the fight with a draw. We will bring you more on Tua's progress as it develops.
